Main tasks and functions:

The Training and methodology Department began its activities on June 3, 1996 as a structural subdivision of the Department of Information Technologies under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova. Nowadays the Department belongs to the SE “SIRC “Registru” within the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communication.

The main task of the Training and methodological Department is to provide training and retraining of the personnel during the implementation and operation of the state registers and other information systems.

The functions of the Training and methodological Department are the following:

1. To train and retrain the personnel of the SE “SIRC “Registru”, the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communication and of other ministries and departments in the following areas:
   • personal computers;
   • homogeneous and inhomogeneous computer networks;
   • information systems;
   • programming systems;
   • computer graphics and CAD;
   • automation of activities of organizations and enterprises;
   • copier;
   • identification systems;
   • security systems and data protection;
   • learning of foreign languages.
2. To train and retrain the following categories of specialists:
   • specialist in computer science systems - to introduce  and operate, maintain and repair the specific technical computer science systems;
   • specialist in program computer science systems - to put into operation, generate and maintain the specific software tools;
   • specialist in elaboration of program computer science systems – to elaborate and debug the basic programs computer science systems, packets of universal application programs and programming technologies;
   • specialist in organization and usage of computer science systems - to manage the use of computer science systems for specific purposes;
   • specialist in information systems designing;
   • specialist in identification systems;
   • specialist in security and protection of data and information technologies;
   • specialist in documents security;
   • specialist in analysis and forecasting;
   • specialist in copiers maintenance;
   • operators and inspectors;
   • user - specialist in other fields, applying computer science systems to solve the problems in their professional activities.

Training and methodological Department successfully implements its activity on rendering of paid services of training in computer literacy and foreign languages.

Regional office (Central area) of the Training and methodical Department (Chisinau) organized the examination and implementation of experience of the CIS countries and the European Community in the field of education, certification and testing of public employees under the international standard ECDL - European Computer Driving Licence (European Computer Law).
