ISSUE OF IDENTIFYING DOCUMENTS TO RESIDENTS OF REGIONS FROM THE LEFT BANK OF DNIESTER

Starting from September 13, 2005, the Ministry of Information Development started the realization of the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Moldova № 959 from September 9, 2005 “On measures on the confirmation of citizenship of the Republic of Moldova and documentation of population of regions from the left bank of Dniester (Transnistria).

CITIZENS OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA HAVE THE POSSIBILITY TO HOLD TWO PASSPORTS.

The Law of the Republic of Moldova concerning the modifications to some legislative documents came into force on 30 December 2006. According to this Law, citizens of the Republic of Moldova have the possibility to hold 2 passports.

Procedure of issue of documents was facilitated in three localities of the country

Residents of municipalities of Chisinau, Balti and Anenii Noi region have the possibility to be issued identity cards of the National passport system following facilitated procedure.
