In order to simplify the application procedure for small border traffic permit”of the Republic of Moldova citizens and in conformity with the provisions of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of Romania regarding small border traffic, general Consulates have been opened in Cahul and Balti recently.
SE „SIRC„Registru” provided two automated working places of connection to the State Register of Population for every general Consulate, which have been tested on July 5-9, 2010 to verify the authenticity of the information presented by the applicants of small border traffic permits and namely: personal code (IDNP), personal data from the passport, validity of the passport, legal registration of the person within the frontier area for not less than one year, etc.
During four days, from July 9 till July 12, 2010, SE „SIRC „Registru” processed 74 applications from the general Romanian Consulates (49 from Cahul and 25 from Balti), every application being monitored to correspond to requirements in force. During March 6 – July12, 2010, 16147 applications have been processed from the Consular department of the Embassy of Romania in Chisinau. Thus, 16221 applications have been processed from the consular offices of Romania in the Republic of Moldova as a whole.
Nowadays, six automated places of work are installed in the consular offices of Romania in the Republic of Moldova, which are connected to the State Register of Population and contribute to the simplification of applicants’ providing with small border traffic permits, reducing the time and money.
