The Conference “The Moldova e-Government Summit 2010” called “ICT for better governance” was held in Chisinau between May 18 and 19, 2010. Various international experts took interest in this event. Thus, the Moldova auditorium has been presented the best practices of technology usage in order to perfect and transform various states government.

As the SE “SIRC” Registru” is the leader in the elaboration of information systems on the Moldova market, some guests proved to be rather interested in familiarizing with the enterprise activity and its main projects.
In this context, on May 19, 2010, the representatives of Gemalto and L-1 Identity Solutions visited the SE “SIRC” Registru”. The meeting was headed by the General Director of the enterprise Mr. Vladimir Molojen. It is worth mentioning that Gemalto’s end-to-end security solutions are designed to make personal digital interactions more convenient, safe and enjoyable. L-1 Identity Solutions renders a complete range of multi-biometric products for various identity programs used by the Government structures.

The guests highly appreciated the legislative platform, elaborated in the Republic of Moldova, as it offers the possibility to develop and implement efficiently information projects, as well as operate with state registers and ensure the data integration. Mr. Rafael Alvarez, the representative of the L-1 Identity Solutions Company, took interest in the process of biometric passports issuance and security methods used in the process of their production.

In this context Mr. Alvarez mentioned that he is ready to participate in other meetings to exchange experience in the field of biometric passports issuance and evaluate the possibility of biometric data usage in the State Register of Population.
