Prime Minister Vlad Filat visited the State Enterprise “”SIRC “Registru”. During the visit the problems, faced by the enterprise, and its future projects were discussed.

Within the meeting the activities of the enterprise ware presented, as well as its tasks, implemented and perspective projects. Currently the optimization of the enterprise organizational structure is carried out.

“Nowadays we work upon reduction of passports costs. The Action Plan on simplification of identity document issuance process, including reduction of identity documents costs as soon as possible, was approved. This measure is a part of the Action Plan on simplification of the access of population to the documentation process”, said Mr. Alexander Oleinic, Minister of Information Technologies and Communication about the methods of identity documents production and costs.

Mr. Vlad Filat drew attention of the administration of the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communication and SE “SIRC “Registru” to the necessity of determination of categories of citizens, who will enjoy privileges during documentation.

A special attention was paid to the matter of personal data security, which is possible to achieve by documentation of population with biometric passports that will simplify the visa regime liberalization.

Mass Media representatives were given the opportunity to see the process of documentation of population with passports, and namely with biometric passports, during the visit to the Production center of the enterprise.
