The International Scientific Conference “Information Technologies, Systems and Networks ITSN-2010” was held in Chisinau between February 25 and 26. The conference agenda comprised six compartments: information technologies, computer networks, information security, distance training, electronic and optical-electronic systems and technologies, signal and image processing. Over 80 reports were presented within the conference.

Mrs. Dona Skola, Vice-minister of Information Technologies and Communication, mentioned in her opening speech that the information technologies had become an integral element in the day-to-day life. Thus, the Government Activity Program “European Integration: Freedom, Democracy, Welfare” for the period of 2009-2013 covers a range of actions devoted to the information society development, since the IT field is a priority for all branches.

Two reports of the SE “SIRC ”Registru” were presented in the framework of the conference: “The System of State Information Resources integrated within the National Information System of the Republic of Moldova”, delivered by Mr. Eugeniu Ursu, Deputy General Director of the enterprise, and “Electronic services: solutions and perspectives”, rendered by Mr. Valeriu Certan, Head of the Office of electronic services elaboration.

Various international experts from Great Britain, Switzerland, Slovenia, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, as well as scientists, university representatives, non-governmental organizations experts and IT specialists and managers from the Republic of Moldova participated in the Conference.

The Conference mentioned above offered the possibility to cover current IT problems and exchange experience among the experts.
