Working meeting with Medicine Agency representatives

Mr. Eugeniu Ursu, Deputy General Director of SE „SIRC ”Registru”, held a working meeting with the participation of Medicine Agency representatives, headed by Mr. Nicolae Onilov, the agency General Director.

The meeting was aimed at discussing future cooperation between the Medicine Agency and SE „SIRC ”Registru” on further development and implementation of the Automated Information System “State register of medicine”, meant for evidence and control of pharmaceutical production, identification of illegal import and counterfeited production and illegal medicine sale.

At the same time, the parties discussed the issue related to Medicine Agency insurance with labels with latent stripes, which guarantees medicine evidence and information protection on medicine quality and authenticity. Another important issue referred to the need of ensuring all drugstores with special devices, which will help people to check the inscription on labels with latent stripe.

Mr. Ursu mentioned that for an efficient functioning of AIS “State register of medicine” it is necessary to elaborate terms of reference where all compulsory requirements for a proper functioning of the system will be stipulated.

At the end of the meeting the parties decided to elaborate a common Action Plan and to include all measures and terms for goals and tasks fulfilment related to further development and implementation of the system. Mr. Ursu added that the Action Plan is a basic platform for common efforts accomplishment of specialists of the Medicine Agency and SE „SIRC ”Registru” to fight against illegal circulation of medicine in the Republic of Moldova.
