Vasile Ciornii, Deputy General Director of the “SIRC “Registru”, held a meeting with the Norway statistics experts and National Statistics Office of the Republic of Moldova in the framework of the Memorandum of understanding on statistics system development in the Republic of Moldova.

The overall objective of the visit was to better the external and internal migration statistics on the basis of administrative resources, considering close collaboration between the “SIRC “Registru” and National Statistics Office in registration of natural and emigrational movements of population.

The guests visited the Office of reception and issue of urgent documents, No.1, where they got acquainted with the process of ordering identity cards, beginning with digital queue and submission of necessary documents and finishing with issuance of the identity card.

The Norway experts were impressed by the procedure of documents production, and namely by the identity card of the Republic of Moldova citizens, as they do not have any internal identity document in Norway.

During the meeting within the “SIRC “Registru” the guests found out that the enterprise, except documents production, also elaborates and implements information systems of state significance. The Norway specialists, being for many years experts in statistics, requested information about the statistics of population of the Republic of Moldova, the level of completion of the State Register of Population, etc.

In conclusion, Mr. Ciornii noted, that many countries, including Norway, contributed to elaboration and realization of different projects of the “SIRC “Registru”. The gusts, in turn, highly evaluated successes of the enterprise, overscoring that the “SIRC “Registru” has all advantages to create information projects both at national and international levels.
