On November 20, 2009, on the request of Chisinau City Council, Mr. Vasile Ciornii, Deputy General Director of SE „State Information Resources Centre “Registru” has held a working meeting on monthly supply of lists of dead pensioners and disabled persons on each of the sectors from Chisinau.

According to the Regulation regarding the method of payment of compensation on transport, approved by the City Council on September 30, 2009, socially vulnerable people, whose monthly income does not exceed the sum of 1450 lei, disabled pensioners and unemployed persons are given a monthly compensation of 70 lei.

The main problem the Directorate of social assistance from the city sectors faces, is that monthly, a big number of deaths of the above mentioned categories of persons is registered.

As a result, the City Council representatives requested the support of Civil Status Service, which, at its turn, offered them the monthly report on persons dead and removed from the State Register of Population. The information from the report cannot be permanently updated. One case of death in the present month may be registered later and included in the report for the next month.

In order to avoid such situations, Mr. Ciornii suggested the SE “SIRC ”Registru” specialists to install a system that would update the information about dead persons on-line and would permit the limited access to the Information Retrieval System „Acces-Web”. This measure will facilitate the activity of the City Council representatives.
